This group of mid-sized paintings reflects my love of nature. Reminiscing on experiences in remote places, the qualities come to life as I paint. Exploration and experimentation with transparency and opacity, textural variations and glazing helped to capture the essence of place. Process painting encourages a rich variety of imagery to unfold as the painting progresses. These paintings often evolve over long periods of time as I wait for the imagery to guide the next step.
